BvF provided bridge inspection engineering services as required under this contract. BvF completed the structural inspection of 11 structures, including the approach beam spans, noise barrier walls, and the toll booth at the Walt Whitman Bridge facility. Our technical responsibilities included collecting the inventory data, performing the NBIS inspections, preparing all necessary reports, and completing any required load ratings, all in full conformance with the criteria, policies, and standards established by the Delaware River Port Authority. BvF conducted field inspections of the superstructure and substructure, which included inspections for cracks, spalls, corrosion, efflorescence, collision damage, connections, unusual vibrations due to live load or wind conditions, and deterioration of paint on the superstructure and substructure components. BvF was also responsible for preparing the 2018 Biennial Inspection Report.
