Selected as an MBE Subconsultant to a major transportation Joint-Venture Team, BvF performed biennial inspections for multiple tasks under this contract. BvF provided QA/QC managers, bridge inspection team leaders, and bridge inspectors (assistant team leaders). BvF’s technical responsibilities included the collection of inventory data, conducting NBIS inspections, and preparing all necessary reports using MDTA’s bridge management system, ASIR (Authority Structural Inspection and Repair). BvF completed the following task orders:
- Task Orders #1, 3, 4, and 5: 2018 Annual Inspections BvF performed hands-on inspections of 28 high mast lights and interim inspections of 73 cantilever and overhead sign structures, as well as toll gantry structures along the Intercounty Connector (ICC)/MD 200 toll road facility. Additionally, BvF conducted interim inspections of 10 high mast lights along the Francis Scott Key (FSK) Memorial Bridge facility.
- Task Order #23: 2019 Inspection of the ICC Facility (PG County) BvF conducted risk-based inspections of 28 high mast lights at the ICC facility in Prince George’s County.
- Task Order #24: 2019 Inspection of the ICC Facility (MO County) BvF performed hands-on inspections of 14 underground storage structures and risk-based inspections of 36 sign structures and 94 low-level lights.
- Task Order #44: 2020 Annual Inspections at FMT (South) BvF was responsible for hands-on inspections of 47 high mast light towers on I-95 near the Fort McHenry Tunnel and risk-based interim inspections of 16 sign structures on I-95, I-395, and MD 295.
- Task Order #53: 2021 WPL Annual Inspections BvF performed physical on-site inspections of the roadway, traffic safety features (visual), and 8 camera poles (hands-on). The hands-on inspection scope for camera poles included D‐meter thickness measurements.
- Task Order #55: 2021 Inspection of the FMT (South) BvF conducted risk-based interim inspections of 12 workhorse bridges and 47 high mast lights.
- Task Order #59: WPL East Approach LLL BvF performed hands-on inspections of 161 low-level lights, including D-meter thickness measurements.
Task Order #66: 2022 FMT Annual Inspections BvF conducted hands-on inspections of 2 retaining walls, risk-based interim inspections of 2 noise walls, and 11 retaining walls.
