BVF Engineering Inc. provided Program and Construction Management services for the $250 million upgrade of the Piscataway Wastewater Treatment Plant in Accokeek, Maryland. This project involved implementing a centralized Anaerobic Digestion and Combined Heat & Power facility. Key installations included a new Solids Building, Thermal Hydrolysis Pretreatment system, primary anaerobic digesters, combined heat and power system, renewable natural gas treatment system, and various other critical infrastructure components.
BVF was responsible for project controls, monitoring progress schedules using Primavera P6, reviewing payment applications, and overseeing schedule performance. They also handled document control using ProjectWise and e-builder, managing submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and other project documentation. Additionally, BVF provided an Electrical Inspector for electrical and I&C inspections, instrument calibration, and control loop testing.
