As a DBE/MBE Subconsultant to a Design-Build Team, BvF provided comprehensive CPM construction scheduling services for a $74 million facilities upgrade project using Primavera P6. BvF’s responsibilities included detailed reviews of the design-build contract scope, setting up the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), developing a Baseline Cost-Loaded Construction Schedule, and preparing monthly progress schedule submittal packages. Additionally, BvF oversaw project schedule performance, identified schedule improvement opportunities, and developed Time Impact Analysis (TIA) for proposed Change Order Requests.

This project involved upgrading three yard facilities: Alexandria Yard Facilities, Brentwood Yard Facilities, and New Carrollton Yard Facilities. The scope of work included upgrading power services and distribution, replacing lighting and HVAC systems, installing hazardous material/waste storage systems, rehabilitating sprinkler systems, and retrofitting battery storage/charging rooms. BvF’s role was crucial in ensuring the timely and efficient execution of these upgrades, contributing significantly to the project’s overall success.
