As an MBE Subconsultant, BvF conducted biennial inspections as part of a major transportation Joint-Venture Team. BvF provided QA/QC managers, bridge inspection team leaders, and bridge inspectors, with responsibilities that included collecting inventory data, performing NBIS inspections, and preparing reports using MDTA’s bridge management system, ASIR.

Completed Task Orders:

  • Task Order #2 (2022): Risk-based inspections of 15 sign structures at Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (BHT).
  • Task Order #5 (2022): Inspections of roadway pavement, traffic safety features, and 4 ITS/Camera Poles at William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bay Bridge (WPL).
  • Task Order #6 (2022): Inspections at Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge (HWN), covering pavement, traffic safety features, toll plaza, and 6 sign structures.
  • Task Order #18 (2023): Hands-on inspections of 7 retaining walls and 15 sign structures, plus visual inspections of 17 camera poles and toll plaza at BHT.
  • Task Order #21 (2023): Inspections at Hatem Bridge Facility (TJH), including pavement, safety features, toll plaza, camera poles, and 6 sign structures.
  • Task Orders #22 & 23 (2023): Inspections of 700 Low Level Lights at BHT and TJH facilities.
