Division Z – Poplar Point Pumping Station Replacement

Awarded as a DBE Subconsultant to a major construction firm, BvF is providing QA/QC and Site Health & Safety services for this $53 million project. The project includes construction of a new 55 MGD sewage pumping station, construction of approximately 2000 feet of 60’’ diameter diversion sewer pipeline using open cut and trenchless methods.

As the QA/QC Manager, BvF is responsible for developing the Construction QA/QC Plan, monitoring and supporting documentation of the QA/QC Plan, establishing requirements and administering training, resolving quality issues and confirming results are documented. In addition, BvF is also serving as the Health and Safety Officer for this pumping station replacement project. The main responsibilities for this role are to prepare and maintain a Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP), schedule and conduct safety meetings and safety training programs, conduct daily inspections to ensure all machines, tools, and equipment are in safe operating condition and that all work methods are free of hazards. It is also the responsibility of the Health and Safety Officer to submit copies of all safety records along with safety inspection reports and certifications from regulating agencies and insurance companies.
