Awarded as a DBE Subconsultant to a major construction firm for this $53 million project, BvF provided Quality Management and Site Health & Safety services, overseeing the construction of a new 55 MGD sewage pumping station and 2000 feet of 60″ diameter diversion sewer pipeline using both open cut and trenchless methods. The QA/QC Manager from BvF developed and managed the Construction QA/QC Plan, coordinated with Quality Assurance and Special Inspectors, and ensured all construction met contract requirements. Responsibilities included managing QA/QC staff and testing agencies, scheduling and leading weekly meetings, and addressing quality issues through Non-Compliance Notifications and corrective actions.
Additionally, the QC Representative from BvF conducted daily inspections to monitor work quality and ensure adherence to contract requirements, including managing corrective actions for any non-compliant work. The Health and Safety Officer from BvF prepared and maintained the Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP), conducted safety training, and performed daily inspections to ensure equipment safety and hazard-free work methods. The Health and Safety Officer also managed safety records and compliance documentation.
