BvF provided Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (I&C) inspection and commissioning services for a $60 million project involving significant upgrades to Gravity Thickeners and the Primary Sludge Screening and Degritting Building.

BvF’s responsibilities included reviewing contract documents, managing RFIs and RFCs, and performing construction management and field inspections. The team supported the installation of field instruments and electrical control systems, monitored factory acceptance testing, and assisted with the design, start-up, and commissioning of new and modified process systems.

Key projects under this BOA included:

  1. Gravity Thickener Upgrades Phase 2: Recommissioning and upgrading Gravity Thickeners 1 to 10, installing ventilation systems, rehabilitating degritting equipment, and constructing a new Electrical Control Room.

  2. Reclaimed Final Effluent Pump Systems (RFEPS) Upgrades: Replacing high- and low-pressure Reclaimed Final Effluent Pumps, along with associated structural, electrical, I&C, and HVAC improvements.
