BvF provided construction management and scheduling services for a small diameter water main replacement program, which included multiple contracts for rehabilitating and replacing water pipelines.

BvF’s Role:

BvF monitored and reviewed baseline and monthly progress schedules using Primavera P6, assessed contractor performance, and identified schedule improvements. The team also managed cash flows, evaluated Extension of Time requests, prepared cost estimates, and assisted in negotiations for change orders.

Key Projects:

• Water Main Replacement-12C: Replaced 1.48 miles of water mains (4 to 12 inches), installed shut-off valves and pressure-reducing valves, and completed pavement restoration.
• Water Main Replacement-15A: Replaced 2.62 miles of water mains (4 to 12 inches) with similar tasks to the 12C project.
• Water Main Replacement-15B: Replaced 3.35 miles of water mains (4 to 12 inches), including building penetrations and surface restoration.
• Constitution Avenue Area: Replaced 2.1 miles of small diameter water mains and 0.5 miles of 20-inch water mains.

BvF also provided document control services using SharePoint and Primavera CM 14.
